An Optical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions for their assigned optical and contact lens department, ensuring that office policies, procedures, and plans are executed in a smooth and expeditious manner; performing financial oversight, office and, insurance administration, and personnel management duties.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Location: Work takes place in a normal office environment with the Maryville, IL location being the home base. Paid travel to other Quantum Vision Center locations (Godfrey, Granite City, and Swansea) will be necessary to fulfill essential duties and responsibilities. Thus, those needing to travel for work must have access to dependable transportation, and driving record must meet company liability carrier standards. There could potentially be a need to participate in a Saturday work rotation 1-2 time's a month. A partial day during the week is offered during the Saturday's you are required to work if desired.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; some college preferred
Optical and contact lens experience preferred
Prefer two years of Supervisory experience
Computer skills and good oral communication required
Strong leadership background
